Yang Hyun-suk, former YG Entertainment CEO, has raised controversy over watching the performance of "Nomask."
Yang Hyun-suk watched Treasure's first solo concert at the Olympic Hall in Seoul on the 10th, where he was watching the performance while taking off his mask completely. According to the rules of watching performances related to Corona 19 prevention, all concert visitors should wear masks and the behavior of saliva such as standing chorus is completely prohibited.
As a result, YG also announced that "the audience who violated the anti-virus rules can be dismissed," but Yang Hyun-suk was exceptionally treated.
Although the number of new confirmed Corona 19 dropped below 100,000 in 48 days as of November 11, there are still more than 90,000 new confirmed cases and there is no reassurance. Yang Hyun-suk frowned at the performance with a nomask, even though the rules of prevention should be followed for the safety of himself and others.
Yang Hyun-suk resigned as YG leader in June 2019 after being caught up in allegations of conciliating Han Seo-hee and Cinémix Par Chloé in an attempt to defame icon Mamdouh Elsbiay's Drug scandal. Han Seo-hee reported on the circumstances of Madouh Elsbiay's purchase and medication during a police investigation into smoking BIGBANG towers and cannabis in 2016, but rather than a proper investigation, Yang Hyun-suk called him to YG office to overturn his testimony and conciliate him with Blackmail – Cinémix Par Chloé. He has revealed that he has withdrawn his testimony numerous times. Yang Hyun-suk left YG saying "the truth will be revealed," and his brother, Yang Min-seok, also resigned from YG.
Police have sent Yang Hyun-suk to prosecutors for charges including Blackmail – Cinémix Par Chloé and others, for prosecution. Since then, Yang Hyun-suk has received his first Trial in November last year on charges of legal retaliation against certain crimes, including aggravated punishment, but has consistently claimed innocence.
Separately, Yang Hyun-suk was also suspected of being associated with a victory from BIGBANG, who was identified as the main culprit of the Burning Sun Gate. Yang Hyun-suk was accused of being behind Joe Low's away prostitution, but prosecutors cleared him of the charges for lack of evidence. He was also fined 15 million won for allegedly gambling billions of won in 24 rounds in Las Vegas and Macau in August 2019.
