Jang Jae-won, the son of a national power lawmaker, who is accused of assaulting a Super Wings Police officer after an accident while driving unlicensed during the Probation period, will be tried for the first time next month.
Shin Hyuk-jae, the senior judge of the Seoul Central District Court, designated the first trial date of NO:EL, which was indicted on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (unlicensed driving), as the afternoon of the 19th.
NO:EL was driving a Mercedes vehicle unlicensed at 10:30 pm on September 18 at Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, and was accused of assaulting Police officer after a Super Wings Police officer demanded a breath test and identification.
NO:EL did not attend the questioning of the suspect (the warrant review) before the arrest held at the Seoul Central District Court on the 12th, saying, "I will give up the warrant review with apology." Prosecutors, who have since taken over the case from police, have indicted NO:EL on the 27th.
At the time, NO:EL said through his lawyer, "I am really sorry to many people, I will be paid for the mistake."
Among them, NO:EL has been subject to the so-called 'Yoon Chang-ho Act', which has been detected more than twice, such as refusing to drink or measure drunk driving.
NO:EL was sentenced to two years in prison for one year and six months in prison for allegedly driving a motorcycle ahead of him and replacing a driver in June last year.
