The fact that rapper NO:EL (22, real name Jang Yong-joon), who was handed over to trial for refusing to measure drinking and assaulting a police officer, was admitted to the Seoul Detention Center's living room, sparked controversy over preferential treatment.
According to the legal system on the 2nd, NO:EL, who was indicted on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (unlicensed driving), was arrested in October last year and has been held in the Seoul Detention Center's living room for five months.
It is reported that some inmates have argued that NO:EL's father is receiving preferential treatment because he is a member of parliament.
In the past, some politicians, chaebol leaders, and entertainers were mainly accommodated in the solitary room of the correctional facility, and the acceptance of the solitary room was decided at the discretion of the detention center.
Of course, some say it is difficult to see it as a preference. NO:EL, which has a high level of social interest, may have been in conflict with other prisoners, so the detention center may have chosen to accept the residence for administrative convenience.
In response, NO:EL drew the line, saying, "I have never received or requested any preferential treatment."
NO:EL was arrested in September last year for refusing to measure alcohol and assaulting a police officer.
The prosecution later asked NO:EL for three years in prison on May 25, saying, "The defendant re-offended during the Probation period due to drunken driving."
NO:EL was sentenced to one year and six months in prison for drunk driving in June of last year, and two years of Probation was The Judgment Sea.
The Judgment is April 8th.
Meanwhile, NO:EL appeared on Mnet 'High Wrapper' and 'Show Me Money' in the past, but it was caught up in various incidents and incidents.
