In "Brave New World," while Im Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-joon have grown apart due to a minor conflict, Im Ji-yeon and Yoon Joo-sang were involved in a mysterious traffic accident inside a restaurant.
In the episode of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Brave New World" (directed by Han Tae-seop, written by Kang Hyun-joo, produced by Studio S and Gil Pictures), Shin Seo-ri (played by Im Ji-yeon) and Cha Se-gye (played by Heo Nam-jun) began dating in earnest, but Choi Moon-do (played by Jang Seung-jo) interfered and became enraged.
Cha Se-gye told Shin Seo-ri that he disliked Choi Moon-do and everyone else, and the two shared a kiss after connecting emotionally in the previous episode. Cha Se-gye asked, “So I’m the exiled prince, and you’re a palace maid. Then what are you? Did we time-travel or something?” asking about the dream, and Shin Seo-ri replied, “We transcended time and space.”
Cha Se-gye cautiously asked, “So, is our testing of each other over?” adding, “I was just wondering if I was getting ahead of myself again.” Shin Seo-ri snapped, “That’s enough—we’re done.”
Cha Se-gye then said, “I’m a guy who gets incredibly jealous. Don’t get involved with anyone else or even talk to them,” and added, “In that spirit, how about we go inside and finish the conversation we didn’t get to have?” creating a subtly suggestive atmosphere. But then he quickly backed off, asking, “Is that too radical for a Joseon woman?” Shin Seo-ri replied, “You’re not allowed to say that to a Joseon woman. From now on, I’ll pour my heart out to you radically,” and kissed Cha Se-gye first.
While Shin Seo-ri and Cha Se-gye were basking in their happiness, Choi Moon-do was transferred to the U.S. branch. He pleaded with Chairman Cha (played by Yoon Joo-sang), but Chairman Cha pretended not to know anything and simply comforted him, telling him to rest easy. Driven mad, Choi Moon-do threatened Nam Ok-soon (played by Kim Hae-sook) and stoked conflict between Cha Se-gye and Shin Seo-ri.
Cha Se-gye stayed up all night thinking of Shin Seo-ri, while Shin Seo-ri met with Cha Se-gye’s grandfather and talked with him at a restaurant. Chairman Cha indirectly rejected Seo-ri, saying, “I want Se-gye to be loved by everyone—by his mother-in-law and encouraged by his father-in-law.” At that moment, a truck barreled toward them. Chairman Cha and Shin Seo-ri were knocked down, and in the preview, Shin Seo-ri opened her eyes looking as if she had just taken poison, capturing viewers’ attention with the line, “Have I come back?”
Additionally, Cha Se-gye faced a series of setbacks, including a raid on his cosmetics company.
