While the second Lawsuit of singer Yoo Seung-jun (45, American name Steve Seung-jun Yu) was underway, he appelled, "No one has received such a disposal."
The Seoul Administrative Court's 5th Division (chief judge Jung Sang-gyu) held the first defense date of Lawsuit, which Yoo Seung-jun said at 3:31 p.m. on the 3rd, "Please cancel the passport and the refusal to issue a private certificate" against the Consul General of the United States, Hong.
"Yoo Seung-jun was not acquired for the purpose of escaping the Military service in the first place," said Yoo Seung-jun, a lawyer at the hospital. "The first Entrance rejection disposal is almost 20 years old, and I doubt it will be such a problem for 20 years."
"No one else has received such a disposal," he said. "It's been 20 years, and when the story of the Military service problem comes out, Yoo's name comes out and no one knows the controversy about the Military service even if he does not know his song."
"We have to ask where the reason for making this issue controversial for 20 years and who is responsible," he said.
As such, the Public opinion is still cold, with the Yoo Seung-jun strongly arguing that the defendant's disposal is contrary to the principle of proportionality and equality. The netizens are responding that they are not trying to exercise their rights without obligations.
Earlier, Yoo Seung-jun left the country in January 2002 for overseas performances and gained US citizenship, which led to controversy, which led to the abandonment of Korean nationality to avoid Military service.
Since then, Yoo Seung-jun has applied for the issuance of Overseas Koreans (F-4) Dussehra in October 2015, but first raised Lawsuit after Los Angeles Consultate General of the United States, Hong, rejected it.
Yoo Seung-jun won the final at the time of the first Lawsuit, but the government again refused to issue Dussehra, and in October last year it issued another administrative Lawsuit.
The second hearing date for Yoo Seung-jun will be held on August 26th.
