On the 28th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Culture and Tourism) and the Korea Creative Content Agency selected 29 (team) including 6 recipients of the "2021 South Korea Popular Culture and Arts Award", 7 Presidential Citations, 7 Prime Minister Citations, and 9 Minister of Culture and Arts Citations (team).
The Popular Culture and Arts Award is the highest authority government award that is held every year to raise the pride of popular culture artists such as singers, Actors, comedies, voice Actors, broadcasting writers and performers, and to raise the social status of related industries.
Youn Yuh-jung receives the gold crown cultural medal, the highest decoration awarded to cultural and artistic contributors at the '2021 South Korea Popular Culture and Arts Award'. Previously, filmmakers such as director Im Kwon-taek in 2002, director Shin Sang-ok in 2006, and director Yoo Hyun-mok in 2009 received gold crown cultural medal. Youn Yuh-jung was the first Actor to receive a gold crown cultural medal.
Youn Yuh-jung, who Acted Grandmother's Sunja in the movie "Minari," which depicts the life of the United States of America immigrant Korean Family, swept the Acting Prize at various overseas leading film festivals. In addition to the British Academy, the United States of America Actor Association, the United States of America Independent Film Award, as well as the first Korean Actor to win the Japan Academy Prize for Outstanding Performan in the United States of America Academy Awards in April. He set a unique record of 42 gold medals in the Ting Awards.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism selected Youn Yuh-jung as a gold crown cultural medal winner because "Youn Yuh-jung is the best Actor in Korea and has appeared in various works such as independent film 'There are many halls in the hall' and the movie 'Killing Woman' "We have contributed to further raising the level of the Korean film industry, including winning the Rize for Outstanding Performan."
In addition, the culture of the silversmith is won by singer Lee Jang-hee and late Lee Chun-yeon. The culture of the storage was selected as the late Song Jae-ho, Park In-hwan and Noh Hee-kyung.
