Choi Choi Siwon, Korea's first UNICEF East Asia Pacific Ocean goodwill ambassador "feels a sense of mission"

Group Super Junior member and actor Choi Siwon was appointed as the first UNICEF East Asia Pacific Ocean ambassador in Korea.Choi Choi Siwon was the UNICEF East Asia Pacific Ocean Regional Friendship Ambassador at the Laos Generation 2030 Forum in Vientiane held in Laos Vientiane on the 11th (local time) to mark the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the UNChild Rights Convention. He was appointed to the Ambassador for East Asia Pacific Regional.Choi Siwon is the first Korean artist to become a goodwill ambassador representing the East AsiaPacific Ocean region of UNICEF.This is the result of recognition of Choi Siwons high popularity and influence in the East AsiaPacific Ocean region, as well as the authenticity that has been active in the development of Child rights since 2010.Choi Siwon said, I am very pleased to be appointed as a goodwill ambassador for the East Asia Pacific Ocean region.In the meantime, I felt a sense of mission by visiting various countries and having a special experience of meeting children and their families directly.I will do my best to help children in the East AsiaPacific Ocean area in the future. Choi Choi Siwon has been participating in various UNICEF campaigns since 2010 through steady talent donations. In November 2015, he was selected as a special representative of UNICEF Korea Committee. He has visited UNICEF offices in East Asia Pacific Ocean countries such as Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam as well as Korea, and has been actively promoting Child rights.In particular, last year, he attended the opening ceremony of the 5th ASEAN Childrens Forum (ACF) as a keynote speaker, appealed for interest in Child Human Rights, led discussions at discussion sessions of delegations from 10 Southeast Asian countries, and also appeared on the Thailand local fundraising show The Blue Carpet Show, where he took the lead for Child Rights, winning more than $500,000 in fundraising.In the future, Choi Siwon will continue to work on the UNICEF East AsiaPacific Ocean Regional Goodwill Ambassador, which focuses on protecting children in the online environment and strives for childrens rights such as health, education and equality.
