Instructor Kim revealed that his daughter, Kim Da-hyun, burst into tears after being deeply shocked upon checking the monitoring footage while traveling.
He noted, "The child's hurt was even greater because the words came from a senior artist she has respected enough to sing her signature songs at concerts," while also pointing out, "On a public festival stage, not a competition, all singers are on equal footing. If the purpose was evaluation, it is a regrettable aspect." Previously, on the 20th, Shim Soo-bong sparked controversy during her performance at the Jeonbuk 'Jinan Plateau Trot Festival' by making remarks targeting Kim Da-hyun, who was performing immediately before her, to the effect that she was "a young lady who knows nothing about singing or life" and that she "should not be put before me." Following the criticism, Shim Soo-bong issued an official apology, stating, "It was a slip of the tongue that defied common sense. I apologize for hurting my junior."
