'My Bloody Lovers' directed by Yoo Young-young, "Thirties projected in conflict with reality and ideals"
The movie 'My Bloody Lovers' was released in the December issue of 'Elle' directed by Yoo Young-young. 'My Bloody Lovers' is a hyper-realism drama depicting the process of distorting a lover who has been aiming for a different life due to a pregnancy that was not planned. The film is the second feature film after 'Suseongmot'. It was screened at the 27th Pusan International Film Festival, the 48th Seoul Independent Film Festival, the 25th Seoul International Women's Film Festival, the 18th Paris Korea Film Festival, the 10th Marie Claire Film Festival, and the only Korean film at the 57th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. And won the Proxima Grand Prix (Grand Prize). In the public picture, director Yoo Ji-young collects his gaze with a different atmosphere and charisma as well as a work that unravels the theme that evokes sympathy of the same generation in his own style.
