Stars including broadcaster Jun Hyun-moo and actors Shin Min-a, Yoon Jin-hee, Lee Jong-suk and Park Min-young joined the donation procession.
“Jun Hyun-moo has donated 100 million won to help the victims of forest fires in an emergency relief effort,” the Seoul Community Chest of Korea said on Thursday. “We will do our best to ensure that the warm donations sent to the victims of the forest fires are delivered quickly to the victims of the loss, and that they will be restored quickly.”
The donation of 100 million won delivered by Jun Hyun-moo is used as a cost for the restoration of fire damage and the daily recovery of these Jaemins.
“I am worried about the residents of the forest fire-affected areas who have lost their lives and have a hard time,” Jun Hyun-moo said. “I hope that the fire will evolve quickly and help the residents and firefighters in the affected areas a little bit.”
This is not the first time Jun Hyun-moo's donation has been made. Earlier, the 2019 Gangwon Province, South Korea wildfires, helped the Jaemins to pay 50 million won.
In addition, it has donated 100 million won for unmarried mothers in 2018, 100 million won for low-income families suffering from the Corona crisis in 2020, and 10 million won for the independence of young people last year.
Shin Min-a also donated 100 million won to the Hope Bridge Disaster Relief Association to help neighbors in the forest fire-affected areas such as the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Tech Uljin Gangwon Province and South Korea Samcheok Station. According to Hope Bridge, Shin Min-a decided to donate in the name of emergency relief to help the victims after receiving news that the large forest fire damage is spreading. “The amount of Shin Min-a’s donation will be used to support emergency relief supplies and other items that the victims need,” the association said.
Yoon Jin-hee also added warmth to the donation news through his agency. According to his agency, Yoon Jin-hee donated 50 million won to Hope Bridge All states Disaster Relief Association. “We want to add help to the local residents who have been affected by forest fires,” said Yoon Jeong-hee.
Earlier in the day, the Central Disaster Safety Headquarters (Jangdaebon) said that the total forest damage of 16,755ha is estimated due to the forest fire in Dong-Haean. By region, Uljin is estimated to be 12,39ha, Samcheok Station is 656ha, Yeongwol is 80ha, Gangneung is 1,900ha, and Dong-Hae is 2,100ha.
There were no casualties identified, but 343 houses, including 272 Uljin and 63 Dong-Hae, were destroyed, and the Bongsudae (Gangwon Province, South Korea also Monument No. 13) in Dong-Hae City was damaged.
Lee Jong-suk also delivered 100 million won to the Hope Bridge All states Disaster Relief Association and asked them to "write support for forest fire damage and emergency relief."
Lee Jong-suk was saddened by the growing number of houses burned down by wildfires as the fire spread throughout the Dong-Haean area, according to officials at Hope Bridge. So I decided to donate while I was worried about how to help these Jaemins.
“It will be used to provide temporary accommodation for these Jaemins, such as mobile assembly houses,” an association official said of Lee Jong-suk’s donation.
Meanwhile, Park Min-young also joined the warm donation procession today (7th) by donating 100 million won to the Hope Bridge Disaster Relief Association to help neighbors affected by wildfires such as the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Tech Uljin, Gangwon Province and South Korea Samcheok Station.
