According to the legal system, the Supreme Court of South Korea ruled on March 30 that Nancy Lang and Wang Zhen were dismissed for their divorce and property division lawsuits.
The rejection of the inconsistency of hearing is a system that rejects appeal without hearing unless the claim on the reason for appeal among appeal cases except for the Detective case includes specific reasons (when the original judgment violates the Constitution or makes a contradictory interpretation of the Supreme Court of South Korea precedents on laws and orders and rules). The appeals court ruling was confirmed as the appeal filed by Wang Zhen was dismissed.
In a divorce lawsuit filed by Nancy Lang in the family court, the first trial court cited a divorce claim and ruled that Wang Zhen should pay 50 million won to Nancy Lang. The appeal rejected Wang Zhen's appeal.
The pair surprised the public by announcing their marriage report on social media in December 2017. Wang Zhen, who was the son of a Hong Kong conglomerate, was falsely revealed from his age to his name and his claim to be a chaebol son. Furthermore, it was revealed in turn that he had been sentenced to several years in prison for special robbery and rape, forgery of letters in the late Jang Ja-yeon case, fact-finding, involvement in fraud cases, and wearing electronic bracelets.
Even after the controversy continued, Nancy Lang wrapped up Wang Zhen, but said she would divorce Wang Zhen in September 2018. Nancy Lang Zhenjin had been violent, including breaking things at home during a couple fight, and had been subjected to Revenge pornography, imprisonment, and murder Blackmail – Cinémix Par Chloé – and sued the Western District Attorney's Office of Seoul for 12 charges including special assault, injury, special Blackmail – Cinémix Par Chloé, and coercion. The family court filed for divorce.
Wang Zhen is also on trial for a Detective case apart from Nancy Lang and the divorce case. He is under trial on charges of embezzlement, fraud, injury, imprisonment, and violation of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Assault Crimes. In April, the first trial court ordered the completion of a six-year and 40-hour sexual assault treatment program. The case was appealed by Wang Zhen and prosecutors both, and the appeal is ongoing at the Seoul Central District Court.
