Group BTS (RM Jean Suga Jayhop Jimin b Jungkook), who became the presidential envoy, will take a diplomatic passport and head to the United States of America United Nations General Assembly.
On Friday, BTS visited Blue House at the invitation of President Moon Jae-in to attend the appointment ceremony.

BTS was appointed as a special cultural envoy in July. BTS members who attended the ceremony appeared at the ceremony in black suits; President Moon Jae-in was greeted by them wearing a purple tie symbolizing BTS fandom. Each member was awarded a diplomatic passport and a fountain pen with the appointment to President Moon. President Moon expressed his congratulations to the members by asking them to shake hands instead of shaking hands.
The diplomatic passport received by BTS is issued by the president, the prime minister, the foreign ministry official, and the SEK envoy. Diplomat passport holders are granted judicial immunity overseas, are excluded from the inspection of their belongings at the airport, and can receive VIP protocol. In some countries, visa exemptions are also granted; it is interpreted as being made in honor of the president's SEK envoy.
President Moon will visit United States of America and Honolulu for three nights and five days from 19th to 23rd to attend the 76th United Nations General Assembly and to attend the mutual acquisition ceremony of the remains of the US and South Korea. BTS will also leave for United States of America to attend the 76th United Nations General Assembly. At this United Nations General Assembly, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) will be discussed as a key agenda, and BTS will attend the "SDG Moment" Event on the 20th (local time) to speak and show performances on video. SDG Moment is an annual Event led by United Nations Secretary General in accordance with the 2019 Sustainable Development Goals Summit Political Declaration, and President Moon will also hold an opening session speech and interview schedule.
