Actor Lee Min-ho will be the main character of Drama Pachinko' to be produced on AppleTV Plus.
"Lee Min-ho will be the main character of the best-selling novel Pachinko' Drama by Lee Min-jin, a Korean-American United States of America, among the works that AppleTV Plus will show," an entertainment official said on the 19th.
Pachinko' is a novel that captures the desperate lives of Zinichi (Koreans in Japan), who was a domestic but was forced to be a stranger. It was nominated for the National Book Award in 2019 and many media cited it as 'Book of the Year'. Lee Min-jin, a Korean-American United States of America, has lived in Japan Tokyo for four years since 2007 and has been covering Korean-Japanese people.
Lee Min-ho is set to collaborate with AppleTV for the first time through Pachinko'. It has already become famous overseas due to SBS 'heirs', and recently it has secured global recognition by finishing SBS 'The King: Eternal Monarch', which has been released worldwide through Netflix, and it is expected to be able to create synergies in collaboration with Pachinko'.
