About 10,000 fans gathered to demonstrate the global popularity of Running Man at the Running Man fan meeting held in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam on the 1st.
The fan meeting performance was held in the Ho Chi Minh outdoor performance hall with a full-seat stand, with the first 10,000 spectators in Southeast Asia gathering and the record of 9,000 tickets being sold on the first day of ticket opening. In addition, 5,000 people watched the performance on the official YouTube live channel of Archer Media, the official partner of sbs's Running Man fan meeting Event, at the same time as the performance began.
The performance MC appeared in Vietnam's Running Man this year, adding meaning to the role of actor and singer Nguyen Hui, who has recently gained great popularity. The Event lasted about 2 hours and 30 minutes, and the Running Man members performed a concert despite a hot day to pay back the fans' Fly Me to Polaris and cheers, worrying about the fans standing for a long time and watching the performance.
“We are preparing for the Asia fan meeting Tour to mark the 10th anniversary of Running Man next year, and the Fly Me to Polaris from Vietnamese fans has been a great help,” said Yoo Won-ri, a producer at sbs Global Contents Biz Team. “The 2019 Running Man Overseas fan meeting Tour will end Ho Chi Minh for the last time after Hong Kong and Jakarta,” he said.
Meanwhile, Running Man' is expected to continue its global popularity as it will prepare for the launch of 'Vietnam Running Man Season 2' based on its popularity in Vietnam.
