Mnet's Music Awards 2019 Mama (Mnet Asian Music Awards) will be held today (4th) at Nagoya Dome in Japan. Actor Park Bo-gum will host the host for the third consecutive year, and popular singers such as Group BTS, TWICE, GOT7, Mamamu, Monstar X, Seventeen and Cheongha will be the Super Wings.
Mama is a global music awards ceremony hosted by CJ ENM and started in 1999 as Mnet Video Music Awards. It was transformed into the Mnet Asian Music Awards (Mama) in 2009.
The 2019 Mama is decorated with the concept of The Next Dimension: Music, which means breaking boundaries through music, expanding culture, and drawing new maps of music. Live from 6pm on Mnet, and the red carpet event starts at 4pm.
According to Mnet, various collaborative performances will be held at the 2019 Mama, especially with singer J. Y. Park and group Mamamu foreshadowing the collaboration, drawing attention. Mamamu said, “J. Y., which I usually admire. It is very honorable to be able to prepare the stage with Park, and I am very happy to be able to make another special stage at 2019 Mama. I hope you’ll expect a lot of it.”
In addition to BTS, TWICE, GOT7, Mamamu, Monstar and Seventeen and Cheongha, Tomorrow By Together, and Waiting V, Eighties and One Earth were also named in the lineup.
