The hot popularity of BTS (BTS) is even heating up movie theaters.
According to the integrated network of the Film Promotion Committee on the 16th, BTS's movie The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, which was released the previous day, brought together 77,263 audiences to take fourth place in the box office after Mysterious Animals and Grindelwald's Crimes (220,000), Bohemian Rhapsody (130,000), and Perfect Others (110,000).
Interest abroad is also hot: The Burn the Stage has opened in about 70 countries, with sales of all World advance tickets already exceeding 940,000. Thanks to the global popularity of BTS, the film is interested in whether it can be World-famous.
This is not the first time a documentary film has been released about an Idol singer. In 2014, the documentary film Nine Muses: Their Survival, which features the growth of the girl group Nine Muses, was released and in 2015, I AM, which contains the growth stories of singers from SM Entertainment, was released. Techs Kies released the concert documentary "Sechs Kies Aitin" which commemorates its 20th anniversary earlier this year. The group that mobilized the most audiences in the previous documentary film was BIGBANG. BIGBANG Maid, which features BIGBANG's overseas tour, was released in 2016 and recorded a cumulative audience of 56,200.
The BTS's Burn the Stage has surpassed this record just one day after its release, earning the highest Idol documentary record ever.
Bunde Stage: The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run is a film about the 2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode 3 Wings Tour, featuring passionate performances with former World fans, routine images of members during World tours, and genuine interviews.
