Jeon Hyun-moo slams candidates after vote verification "If you win, don't forget to fulfill your promises"
Broadcaster Jeon Hyun-moo verified his vote and shared a meaningful message for voters.
On March 3, Jeon posted a photo on his social media account with the caption, "If you are elected, don't forget to scrutinize your campaign promises."
In the photo, Jeon posed for a photo with a poster of a polling station and voting procedures in the background. Wearing a brightly colored top, he added a message that resonated with viewers, saying that after voting, they should keep an eye on the candidates' promises.
In addition to Jeon Hyunmoo, many other celebrities took to their social media accounts on the same day to encourage voters to participate. They were careful not to associate themselves with any particular political party or candidate, mostly wearing neutral-colored outfits.
Meanwhile, voting for the 9th National Simultaneous Local Elections closed at 6 p.m. that day. As of 6 p.m., the national voter turnout stood at 60.8%, according to the Election Commission. Only the first local elections (68.4%) and the seventh local elections (60.2%) had a final voter turnout of more than 60%, so this election was highly anticipated.
