'42-year-old' Yang Sang-guk expresses "treat me to a meal next time" crush after blind date with beautiful Japanese woman ('lover')
Comedian Yang Sang-guk was introduced to a foreign girlfriend by Park Young-jin.
On TV Chosun's "Joseon's Lover," which aired on Jan. 1, Yang Sang-guk appeared on the show and talked with his 20-year associate Park Young-jin.
As soon as Park Young-jin saw Yang Sang-guk, she said, "Are you having a hard time these days? I don't know what kind of advice I can give you because I haven't had much experience with that, but I thought that the Yang Sang-guk I know must be blaming himself." Kim Kook Jin, who was watching from the studio, said, "Yang Sang Kook has a very soft heart. What you see now is the real Yang Sang-guk." Choi Sungguk also added, "He only pretends to be strong on the air."
Yang Sang Guk sighed and looked like he couldn't eat much food. When Park Young Jin asked, "You're not intimidated, are you?" Yang Sang Guk carefully replied, "I'm not intimidated, but I'm having a hard time because this is my first experience. It's the first time I've received this much love and this much criticism. I would be lying if I said it wasn't difficult."
He continued, "If a comedian goes on the air and doesn't say a word and doesn't complain, they don't write it. They want to be funny, so they overdo it and make mistakes," he said, adding, "I have a problem with where to draw the line." Kim Kook-jin's advice, "You don't have to keep the line, you just have to broaden it," resonated with the audience.
Park Young-jin said, "There is no right answer to comedy, but if the public is uncomfortable, that's the right answer. We make a living from the love of the public." He then asked, "Did you talk to Yoo Jae Suk and Hae Joon well?" Yang Sang-guk nodded and said, "I get along with Hae-joon very well. If I do something wrong, I apologize and do it again," he reflected.
Park Young Jin comforted Yang Sang Guk and shared his own experience. He said, "There are many people who accept broadcast characters as they are. I still think that way (patriarchally) from the time of 'Who raises the cow'. When I first went to greet her, my mother-in-law was very wary. She was worried that I might be living with my husband," he said.
"We met by accident," he said of his first meeting with his wife. I was going to have a beer with a comedian friend of mine, but his brothers were in Hongdae right now and asked me to join them. I wouldn't have done it normally, but I joined him, and then I met my wife by chance again." The panelists were surprised and said, "It's fate." Park confessed that he met his wife for the third time by chance, and that they talked all night and became lovers.
Yang Sang-guk, who is single, was envious and said, "I like spontaneous encounters, but I don't have any. I've never been on a blind date because I'm an introvert. Other people think I'm cheeky and funny, but I can't talk to the opposite sex," he said.
"You have to create a space. Whether it's a club, a religious organization, or a crew, you should meet." "I want to get married," said Yang Sang-guk, "I don't fight much when I'm in a relationship. I don't try to change someone. I like people the way they are." Park Young Jin lamented, "Why did you say, 'I won't take you home,' when you should have said something like that."
Park Young-jin invited her Japanese girlfriend to come over for Yang Sang-guk, who was timid. When the beautiful woman arrived a few minutes later, Yang Sang-guk became extremely nervous. Young Jin introduced the woman as Aya Yoshimi, who had been living in Korea for three years. After introducing herself, Yang Sang-guk asked, "Is there anyone like this among your acquaintances?" and froze.
Seeing that Yang Sang-guk was not good at talking to women, Kim Kook-jin said, "You couldn't even tell her that you were going to take her home," which made him laugh.
Park Young Jin said, "I told Aya to hit me if she's too bad, but she hasn't hit me yet," showing signs of a crush. In response, Yang Sang Guk said, "I'm older, so it's easier for me to have a relationship, but it's not easy for me to have a relationship because I have to meet someone to marry. I'm more serious than you think," he confessed, adding, "I'm an eternal comedian only to my girl." Aya heard this and said, "You shouldn't do that. There's a lot of pressure (on women)," which caused laughter.
"What about foreigners," Aya then asked pointedly. "I don't mind at all. I'm open to all nationalities and ages," and Aya subtly drew a line in the sand, saying, "I'm going to introduce you." However, she complimented Yang Sang-guk, saying, "You have a look that works in Japan. You could be a Japanese actor."
As a former Japanese racing model, Aya naturally shared a common interest with Yang, who is now a racing driver, and the two quickly hit it off. "Sangguk is so nice. I feel like we get along really well," she said, adding, "I was surprised that it wasn't as tense as it was on the show." "This is the real me," Yang Sang-guk confessed. Once he was more relaxed, she complimented him on his good looks and said, "I'll treat you to a meal next time," making him feel excited.
