Trot singer Lee Chan-won, 26, gave his hometown fans a special stage.
DeaguFC played the opening game of the Hanawonkyu KUEFA Champions League1 2022 with FC Seoul on the 19th of last month.
This year's KUEFA Champions League opened in February unusually due to the impact of the Qatar World Cup in November. It is not easy to play soccer outdoors in cold weather below freezing yet, and the injury of players who have played short winter training is also a concern.
Deagu's soccer fever was hot though: From the opening game, many fans filled the stands in search of DeaguDGB Park.
Especially, middle-aged female fans showed exceptionally enthusiastic response because Lee Chan-won's celebration performance was held for the DeaguFC, which celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Lee Chan-won, who was born in Ulsan, moved to Deagu at the age of three and lived all the way; Deagu citizens who met the trend people gave Lee Chan-won an enthusiastic welcome. The love of the Deagu citizens was so enthusiastic that they could not feel the cold weather below freezing. It was a tremendous response that could not be compared to when Mayor Kwon Young-jin gave a speech.
Lee Chan-won, who was on stage, sang his hits such as 'Get tough', 'Convenience Store', and 'Jinto Baegi'.
Lee Chan-won applauded the Deagu citizen who came out of all the elementary and junior high schools in Deagu, saying, "I sincerely hope that DeaguFC, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, will win."
Lee Chan-won, meanwhile, will mark his second anniversary on the 14th, and recently successfully completed a total of 27 tour fan concerts, Chan's Time.
