Idol group Super Junior member Choi Siwon was appointed as the first goodwill ambassador in UNICEF East AsiaPacific Ocean area in Korea.Choi Choi Siwon was the UNICEF East Asia Pacific Ocean Regional Goodwill Ambassador at the Lao Generation 2030 Forum in Vientiane in Laos Vientiane on the 11th (local time) to mark the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the UNChild Rights Convention. He was appointed to the East Asia Pacific Regional.Choi Siwon was the first Korean artist to become a goodwill ambassador to the East AsiaPacific Ocean region of UNICEF, and Choi Siwon was recognized for his high popularity and influence in the East AsiaPacific Ocean region as well as his authenticity in promoting Child rights since 2010.Choi Choi Siwon said: I am very pleased to be appointed as a regional goodwill ambassador for East AsiaPacific Ocean.In the meantime, I felt a sense of mission by visiting various countries and having a special experience of meeting children and their families directly.I will do my best to help children in the East AsiaPacific Ocean area in the future. Choi Choi Siwon has been participating in various UNICEF campaigns since 2010 through steady talent donations. In November 2015, he was selected as a special representative of UNICEF Korea Committee. He has visited UNICEF offices in East Asia Pacific Ocean countries such as Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam as well as Korea, and has actively promoted Child rights.Choi Choi Siwon attended the opening ceremony of the 5th ASEAN Childrens Forum (ACF) in 2018 as a keynote speaker, appealed for interest in Child Human Rights, led discussions in discussion sessions by delegations from 10 Southeast Asian countries, and also appeared on the Thailand local fundraising show The Blue Carpet Show (which was also a successful fund-raiser for Child Rights, including more than $500,000). He took the lead.In the future, Choi Siwon will continue to engage in UNICEF East AsiaPacific Ocean community friendly ambassadors who focus on protecting children in the online environment and strive for childrens rights such as health, education and equality.
