Group BTS (BTS) also topped the Japan Oricon charts, following United States of America Billboard and the UK Official Chart.
On April 17, Japan Oricon stated that "BTS' new album 'Map City of London the Sol: Persona' (MAP OF THE SOUL: Persona) was ranked #1 on the digital album in the first week of sale in Japan (as of April 22).
"As this album topped the charts, it became the fourth overall top of its career, following Love Yourself Gypsy Answer (LOVE YOURSELF Answer), which topped the digital album rankings of September 17 last year, setting the record for the highest number ever in the digital album charts," Oricon added.
Earlier on April 15 (local time), United States of America Billboard and the British Official charts predicted that the BTS new album would be on the top of the Billboard main album chart "Billboard 200" and the UK "Office Album Chart" respectively.
Billboard said: "BTS is expected to get 225,000 album figures from 200,000 by April 18. "The Billboard 200 chart, dated April 27, when 'Map City of London The Sol: Persona' will appear at No. 1, will be released on its website on April 21." "When this album reaches No. 1, BTS will be the third to follow 'Love Yourself' (LOVE YOURSELF Tear) and 'Love Yourself Resolution Ancer' "We will take the top spot," the report said.
