G-Dragon (real name Kwon Ji-yong and 30) of group BIGBANG and Jimin (real name Park and 23) of BTS were included in the 30 Best Boy Band members selected by the British daily The Guardian.
The Guardian ranked G-Dragon 11th in the list on the 13th (local time), saying, "BIGBANG G-Dragon, which is called the king of K-pop in many ways, is a modern and genre-wide K-pop star."
“He has brought fascinating and neutral elements to the team as a singer-songwriter, rapper, producer, entrepreneur, and fashion icon,” he added. “G-Dragon is currently fulfilling his military duty.”
“In recent BTS London performances, Jimin showed off his sex appeal by showing off his abs with a mistake by playing the solo track Serendipity,” said Jimin, who was named 17th.
Earlier, 20,000 spectators gathered at the BTS solo Concert held at London Otu (O2) Arena on October 11th. Otu Arena is a venue that has been passed by global top stars such as Coldplay, Madonna, Beyonce, Adele and Ed Sheeran.
“BTS is a 21st-century Beatles and global pop sensation, in that it brings in a love of mania and devotion,” the BBC reported at the time.
In addition, The Guardian ranked Michael Jackson as the "Jackson Five" childhood member in the top Boy Band member of all time.
Robbie Williams, who stood as a rock star while working as Boy Band Take That, ranked second, Justin Timberlake, who came from EnThink, and Harry Styles, a star produced by One Direction, ranked fourth.
