Singer-songwriter Kang Seung-sik has passed away from Sepsis, and singer Yang Mi-kyung has lost her husband.

Singer-songwriter Kang Seung-sik passed away at the age of 70 around 1:00 a.m. on the 19th at a hospital in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, while battling sepsis. The late artists wife, singer Yang Mi-kyung, personally announced the news of her husbands passing and expressed her grief.Born in 1954, the late Mr. Kang made his debut in 1974 with the song One Day, Two Days, Three Days and gained recognition for composing Jang Eun-sooks hit songs Lets Dance and Your First Love. He also served as the chairman of the Jeonbuk Chapter of the Korea Singers Association and dedicated himself to the development of the local music scene by founding the Jeonbuk Singers Association and the Yeongnam-Honam Cultural Exchange Association.He is survived by his wife, Yang Mi-kyung, and three sons and one daughter. The funeral hall has been set up in Room VIP 402 at Geumseong Funeral Home in Jeonju, Jeonbuk, and the funeral service is scheduled to be held at 9:00 a.m. on the 21st.
