Hwang Jung-min sparks controversy after recording released in which he tells a Cat facing euthanasia to "smear soybean paste on it."
A, who exposed actor Hwang Jung-min's private life, released a transcript of a conversation with Hwang Jung-min and clarified remarks regarding his Cat. A claimed that Hwang Jung-min made inappropriate comments about his Cat, which was facing euthanasia, and presented supporting evidence.
A revealed that through a recorded phone call on January 2, 2025, Hwang Jung-min said to the suffering Cat, "Hurry up and smear soybean paste on it." Previously, Dispatch reported that Hwang Jung-min had filed a stalking complaint against A and submitted photos of the Cat's carcass sent by A as evidence; however, A refuted this, explaining that the photos were of the euthanasia process for the Cat they had spent 16 years together and that Hwang Jung-min was aware of this.
Furthermore, A continued the dispute over the truth by taking a stance contrary to Dispatch's report regarding whether or not there was physical contact with Hwang Jung-min. Both parties are currently engaged in a lawsuit for damages related to the withdrawal of the business, and a mediation hearing is scheduled for August 14.
Hwang Jung-min Faces Ongoing Legal Dispute
Actor Hwang Jung-min is currently involved in a civil lawsuit regarding a business withdrawal, with a damages claim of approximately 200 million KRW filed against him. The Seoul Central District Court has referred the case to mediation, with both parties scheduled to attend a hearing on August 14 to attempt a settlement.

Hwang Jung-min has filed a stalking complaint against an individual, citing the receipt of numerous messages and images of a deceased pet. The individual has publicly contested these claims, providing recordings and context to argue that the shared images were related to the end-of-life care of their long-term companion animal.
