Girls' Generation's Yuri candidly revealed details about her home in Jeju Island and her tuition costs on MBC's "I Live Alone."
Girls’ Generation member Yuri appeared on the MBC variety show “I Live Alone,” sharing a glimpse into her daily life after three years of living in Jeju and candidly discussing the process and costs of finding a home. Yuri explained that she began living independently in Jeju to embrace a “slow life” centered on yoga and nature.
On the show, Yuri introduced her Jeju home, which reflects her personal style, and surprised viewers by revealing that she had acquired not only the furniture—including the dining table and sofa—and appliances but also the house itself through a secondhand marketplace. She also responded to Ki-an 84’s speculation that the annual rent was 9 million won, stating that the actual price was much lower than that.
Due to the high humidity near the seaside, she showed her daily routine of emptying the water from her humidifier, and she demonstrated her resilient approach to life in Jeju by personally dealing with any bugs that appeared in her home.
Yuri’s Minimalist Jeju Lifestyle
On the July 10th episode of MBC's 'I Live Alone', Girls' Generation member Yuri shared her three-year experience living in Jeju Island. She explained that she chose this lifestyle to embrace nature, yoga, and a slower pace of life.
Sustainable Living Through Second-Hand Finds
Yuri revealed that she furnished her Jeju home entirely through second-hand transactions, including her sofa, refrigerator, and dining table. She even noted that she acquired the house itself through a similar peer-to-peer trading method.
