Singer Bae Da Hae and her husband Lee Jang-won revealed the story behind their decision to live with her 100-year-old grandfather-in-law on the SBS variety show *Same Bed, Different Dreams Season 2: You Are My Destiny*. Bae Da Hae explained that they decided on "summation" after a family meeting, as it was difficult to leave the elderly grandfather alone while her in-laws were working in the provinces.
Appearing on the July 21 broadcast of *Same Bed, Different Dreams Season 2: You Are My Destiny*, the couple shared updates on their lives in their sixth year of marriage. In his first television appearance in two years, Lee Jang-won appeared much more relaxed than before, while Bae Da Hae mentioned that their communication style as a couple has improved.
The grandfather-in-law, the new family member revealed on the show, was born in 1926 and is a veteran of the Korean War and a living witness to modern Korean history. Bae Da Hae added that as the aunts who had been looking after her grandfather grew older and she became worried about him being alone at night, she put into action the summation that had been anticipated since before her marriage.
