Iharu (16), the daughter of Epik High’s Tablo, is making headlines after it was revealed that she wrote the lyrics for RISE’s new song on her own.
On the 8th, a post titled "Tablo's daughter Haru, presumed to be the sole lyricist for RISE's new title track" went viral on online communities.
The post included song information for RISE's title track, "Do Your Dance."
In particular, the name "Haru Lee" appeared on the list of lyricists, drawing intense interest from fans.
"Haru Lee" is known to be the English name of Lee Haru, the daughter of Tablo and actress Kang Hye-jung, lending credence to the possibility that she wrote the lyrics on her own.
Haru has already demonstrated her songwriting skills. Previously, she gained recognition for her musical talent by co-writing the lyrics for girl group KIKI’s new song “To Me From Me” alongside her father, Tablo.
At the time, Tablo, who served as the producer, revealed the backstory, stating, “The title ‘To Me From Me’ originated from a conversation with my daughter, Haru.” Indeed, the name “Haru Lee” was listed in the credits for “To Me From Me,” drawing significant attention.
RISE’s new song “Do Your Dance” is an up-tempo dance track that combines hip-hop beats with electronic pop sounds. As it was revealed that 16-year-old Lee Haru wrote the lyrics entirely on her own, fans’ anticipation is growing regarding what kind of emotions and message she has conveyed.
Recently, Tablo revealed on his YouTube channel that Haru is preparing for the SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) and AP (Advanced Placement) exams, which are considered crucial for college admission in the U.S., sparking significant interest. News of her balancing her academic studies with her music career has drawn even more attention.
Meanwhile, Tablo married actress Kang Hye-jung in 2009, and they have a daughter named Haru. In 2013, Tablo and his daughter appeared on KBS2’s “The Return of Superman” and received widespread love.
