It was reported on JTBC’s “Case Squad” that Ms. Yook, the mother of singer Jang Yoon-jung, committed fraud by impersonating her daughter to swindle investment funds. Ms. Yook is accused of defrauding victims of tens of millions of won by showing them fabricated KakaoTalk messages made to appear as if they had been sent by Jang Yoon-jung.
Jang Yoon-jung’s representatives have clearly stated that she has had no contact with her mother for several years and have made it known that she is not involved in this incident in order to prevent further victims. The police are currently investigating the case following a report filed by the victim.
In the past, Jang Yoon-jung faced significant difficulties due to financial disputes and conflicts within her family. At that time, Ms. Yuk filed a lawsuit against Jang Yoon-jung’s agency, but the court ruled in Jang Yoon-jung’s favor and dismissed Ms. Yuk’s claims.
