Lee Jun-young, known as "Chairman Kang," Takes Charge of Materials Team 2… A Strong Response to the Sales Team
Seoul=) = Lee Jun-young, star of "New Employee Chairman Kang," is set to shake up the previously peaceful Materials Team 2 at Choseong Trading.
In the third episode of JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama "New Employee Chairman Kang" (written by Hyeon Ji-min, directed by Ko Hye-jin, Creator Kim Sun-ok), airing at 10:40 p.m. on the 6th, features Hwang Jun-hyun (played by Lee Jun-young)—a new employee in the Materials Team 2 at Choi Sung Trading, whose body is inhabited by the spirit of Choi Sung Group Chairman Kang Yong-ho (played by Son Hyun-joo)—surprising everyone with his sharp work skills, which are far beyond what one would expect from a rookie.
Hwang Jun-hyun, who is possessed by Kang Yong-ho’s spirit, has become a figure of interest in Choesung Trading’s Materials Team 2 since joining the company. Prejudices followed him, suggesting he would struggle to adapt to office life due to his eerie connection as the victim of Chairman Kang Yong-ho’s hit-and-run accident, compounded by his background as a former soccer player.
Compounding this, Hwang Jun-hyun—possessed by Kang Yong-ho’s spirit and unable to shake off the chairman’s mannerisms—has sparked suspicion among his colleagues by speaking informally to Department Head Park Bong-gi (played by Lee Sung-wook) and making jokes without hesitation to his colleague Kang Bang-geul (played by Lee Joo-myung).
As Hwang Jun-hyun’s unique presence is transforming the atmosphere of Materials Team 2, his latest move on behalf of the team is set to cause yet another stir. Faced with the Sales Team’s continued uncooperative attitude, Hwang Jun-hyun has taken the drastic step of threatening to mark the documents as missing if they aren’t submitted, effectively creating a conflict between the departments.
Amidst this, the released stills vividly capture the critical moment when Hwang Jun-hyun silenced the entire Materials Team 2. Holding the receiver, Hwang Jun-hyun continues his firm conversation with the Sales Team, his gaze exuding a presence that makes it hard to believe he is a new employee.
In particular, his unflinching response leaves not only Kang Bang-geul, a recent graduate just starting her career, but even veteran employee Park Bong-gi unable to hide their surprise, heightening curiosity about Hwang Jun-hyun’s work style that has frozen the office in its tracks.
Meanwhile, "New Employee Chairman Kang" is a "remind life" story drama about the chairman of a leading conglomerate—known as the "business god"—who finds himself living an unwanted second life after suffering an accident. It airs every Saturday at 10:40 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 p.m.
