Actress Handagam has revealed the secret of her 47-year-old pregnancy with a healthy uterus.
On the Wednesday broadcast of KBS2's "Superman is Back," Handa, who is currently 20 weeks pregnant, appeared on the show and shared her daily life as a mom-to-be. On the show, Handa explained the meaning of her name, "Chaktak," saying, "It's a blessing that came to me at a late age, so I named it to stay healthy and attached.
"I've been thinking about having a child since I was 44," said Handagam, who became pregnant after six years of marriage. "After preparing for about two or three years, I started trying in earnest in the winter of 46, and I got the good news at 47."
Hagam's story is particularly noteworthy because he revealed that he was told something unexpected at the hospital. "The doctor said, 'If your uterus is in this condition, you can have a second or third,'" he said.
She also revealed that she froze her eggs. "I froze my eggs when I was in my 30s, but when I went to the hospital at 46, they told me that I didn't need to use my old eggs," she said. "I got pregnant with my most recent eggs. The eggs I froze in the past are being kept as insurance," she explained.
Lalal was impressed, saying, "It's really not that easy," and Kim Jong-min was also surprised, saying, "There must be some special know-how."
Meanwhile, Handa got married to a non-celebrity businessman in 2020. The 47-year-old recently made headlines when she announced her pregnancy and is due to give birth in September.
