Sports trainer and broadcaster Yang Chi-seung has announced a fresh start.
On June 3, Yang posted on his social media (SNS) account, "Gangnam Station will open in June. Guess the three letters in the circle," he wrote.
The photo that accompanied the post read, "Coach Yang Chi-seung's ○○○ Club COMING SOON!
Yang previously ran a gym and became known as a trainer for celebrities such as BTS's Jin and actor Kim Woo-bin. He has also appeared in broadcast programs such as MBC's "I Live Alone" and KBS 2TV's "The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears.
Last year, Yang suffered property damage worth 1.5 billion won ($1.5 million) in a gym rental scam. He opened a gym in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, in 2019, but was ordered to vacate in 2022 by the Gangnam-gu Office. The building he contracted was a public land that private operators were required to donate to the ward after 20 years of use. He found out about this too late and was unable to get his deposit back.
In January, he appeared on KBS 2TV's 'Malja Show' and said, "The collapse of the gym gave me a better opportunity," adding, "I got a job at a company that manages large buildings. I'll be an office worker from tomorrow," he said.
