KBS, who is suspected of causing damage to singer Lim Young-woong, who was a member of the production team of KBS2 music program Music Bank, who scored a score, was booked by the police.
Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station, which received a complaint from the National Newspaper that KBS intentionally lowered Lim Young-woong's broadcast score to prevent singers from doing their job by Falsify, recently booked related cases.
Earlier, the police had conducted an internal investigation (pre-entry investigation) as a reference to a KBS official. KBS reportedly submitted data related to the criteria for scoring the Music Bank' broadcast score to the police.
Lim Young-woong appeared on Music Bank, which aired on May 13, and was nominated for the top spot with the group Le Seraphim. Lim Young-woong scored higher than Le Seraphim in digital music score and record score, but was ranked second (7035 points) after being pushed to Le Seraphim with a total score of 7881 points with 0 points in broadcasting frequency score (broadcast score).
With the criticism that it is not a broadcasting company's gab, there was a demand to disclose the method of broadcasting score counting when the song of Lim Young-woong was sent from KBS radio program.
KBS has raised controversy in the process of clarification. KBS claimed that Lim Young-woong's corresponding song was not broadcast on KBS TV, radio, and digital content, but changed its position when it was announced that the song could be reunited during the aggregate period.
“It is a terrible reality just because KBS, a public broadcasting company that should be oriented toward strict and neutral, is caught up in such suspicions,” said A, who accused the police of obstructing KBS’s business. “I expect that the truth of the case will be clarified through a police investigation.”
