Singer and actor IU (real name Lee Ji-eun)'s agency delivered the results of the flamer legal action.
On the 21st, IU's agency, Idam Entertainment, explained the legal action against the flammer (a malicious commenter) through its official account.
"We are regularly responding to indiscriminate malicious posts on our IU and Shin Se-kyung," said Idam Entertainment. "We have collected evidence on the attacker who has repeatedly posted insults, personal attacks and malicious posts to IU dozens of times since 2019.
"(flamer) was given the Judgment of eight months of Imprisonment, two years of Probation, 180 hours of community service and 40 hours of sexual violence treatment courses on charges of contempt and defamation," he said.
"We have received a report that unfounded false facts and malicious postings are being posted continuously in many anonymous communities, including Dish Inside, through the notification mail," the agency said. "We submitted a complaint to Susa agency along with evidence and said Susa is in the process of identifying the identity of the attacker.
IU, actor Lee Ji-eun recently starred in the 75th Cannes International Film Festival competition "broker" (director Hirokazu Goreda).
