Mothers' Hero, singer Lim Young-woong (31) released their first full-length album I'm Hero (IM Hero) in six years after their debut. After four years of obscurity and rising to stardom through the 2020 contest program Mr. Trott, it is more meaningful for him. It also attracted the attention of both inside and outside the music industry as it was a regular album released after the debut digital single Hate in 2016.
Lim Young-wong, who had been in Django since last fall for this album, expressed his determination to take a step forward as a vocalist through trots as well as various genres of songs.
In the meantime, fans' expectations are also focused on him, who has been said to be Lim Young-woong John (ZONE) by sweeping the top of various music charts through My Love Child, Hero (Hero), Now I Only Trust Me, Drama OST, Love Always Runs, and Our Blues.
Lim Young-woong has been preparing for the album for eight months, and has been working hard on the album, let alone appearing in entertainment programs. In the meantime, he has only communicated with fans through YouTube 'Hero Theater'.
“I was really keen to make (the album) very good, and I almost finished it, but I thought it was not enough, so I went back for the first time, and I just thought I should concentrate on the album. But as with everything, there’s nothing perfect, but I’m happy I did my best.”
As the time of the troubles was great, I am expecting to take the title of Trot singer proudly in front of my name with this album. “I want to be a singer who can show a variety of genres rather than a genre-only singer, and I thought I wanted to get closer to the public with my song.”
The album includes 12 songs including the title song Can I Meet Again, and recently released 'Our Blues', 'Rainbow', 'You're Very Handy', 'Father', 'Avianto' (A bientot), 'Love Station' and 'Numjiri'. Sunbather singer Sulundo, Song Bong-ju of bicycle scenery, Park Sang-cheol, Dick Feng Kim Hyun-woo and Yoon Myung-sun have helped their colleagues. The title song was written and composed by singer Lee Juck, and Jung Jae-il, the music director, took on string arrangements and improved the perfection.
