Comedian MC Dingdong (real name Heo Yong-un) has pushed ahead with a live commercial appearance in nine hours of Drunk driving.
According to the Seoul Jongam Police book on February 18, MC Dingdong was booked on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (Drunk driving) and obstructing the execution of official duties.
MC Dingdong was caught in Police at 9:30 pm on July 17 at Haewolgok-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul. MC Dingdong did not stop driving with a blood alcohol level of license cancellation (more than 0.08%), but escaped for about four hours without responding to a Police stop request. Police was arrested at 2am on Wednesday.
Police returned home from MC Dingdong after measuring blood alcohol levels; soon after, they will summon MC Dingdong to investigate the crime in detail.
Among them, MC Dingdong boasted a picture of a bottle of liquor with an article entitled "Precious people and precious alcohol" through personal SNS at 8 am on the 18th, six hours after Police was caught, rather than officially apologizing for the Drunk driving scandal or declaring Self-restraint.
The first report on Drunk driving was made at 10:44 am on the 18th, but MC Dingdong appeared on the live broadcast of an online shopping mall commerce (commercial) which started at 11 am 16 minutes later. MC Dingdong promoted the sales products by conducting live broadcasts with other MCs.
It has been more than 24 hours since the Drunk driving scandal occurred, but there is no official position of MC Dingdong or Dingdong Happy Company. MC Dingdong later turned Instagram into private after criticism following the controversy persisted.
MC Dingdong made his debut as a comedian for SBS 9 in 2007. Since then, he has been a host of various events such as KBS 2TV 'Yoo Hee-yeol's Sketchbook' and entertainment program Dictionary MC and singer comeback showcase.
