"It's heartbreaking," Kate Winslet, who also won the Best Actress award, said she was "misery absent" (SAG)
British actor Kate Winslet has not revealed why, though she said she was 'heartbroken' to be staying home during the SAG awards ceremony.
Winslet won the Best Actress Award in the TV Limited Series category for HBO "Mare of East Town" at the 28th SAG (American Actors Guild Award) Awards in Los Angeles on the 27th (local time).
However, the trophy was delivered to others because it did not appear directly at the event.
Winslet appeared remotely to present the award to actor Helen Mirren, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award on the day; on screen, he said, "Good evening, gentlemen. I was destined to be there with you, but I feel bad because I can’t do that.” But I couldn’t miss the chance to present the award to Helen Mirren, an outstanding artist.
He was expected to appear on the screen again when he won the prize, but unexpectedly Winslet was wondering if he would not appear again when he received the highest honor.
Foreign media responded that it was mysterious.
