It is a mystery why Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin, 63, was shot by a small gun fired during filming, causing the shooting staff to die, and the small gun contained real ammunition.
During the investigation after the accident, Baldwin continued to ask why "hot gun," a firearm containing real ammunition, was handed over, according to Page Six's report on Tuesday. "In my life, I have never received a hot gun," he said.
His colleagues' defense of him also draws attention. Baldwin's best friend, actor Debra Messing, said on Twitter that conservative commentator Benny Johnson was "absolutely not" for commenting that "Alex Baldwin killed a man with a gun, and that criminal investigation is ongoing."
"The rifle was handed to him, and it was used in the scene. Then, in the meantime, a tragic incident occurred in which Hutchins lost his life and Joel Souza was injured. I'm praying for all of their families," Baldwin stressed to the staff that he had just received a rifle for filming.
Meanwhile, on Monday, Baldwin fired a prop gun while filming the western film "Rust" at a ranch located in Bonanza Creek, Santefe, USA, killing a photographer and injuring the director.
Female filming director Halina Hutchins, 42, was soon taken to the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque but died; director Joel Souza, 48, was treated at a local medical center. Soon the set was closed and production of "Rust," which began filming in New Mexico earlier this month, was suspended.
Police are investigating the incident based on witness testimony, as Baldwin was also seen weeping as he spoke on his cell phone outside the sheriff's office.
