Following Wheesung, Ha Jung-woo, Gain, the ongoing controversy over celebrity Propofol Illegal medication has caused public disappointment.
Gain's agency said on January 1, "Gain has been fined 1 million won for Propofol last year."
Gain was briefly indicted on charges of dosing Propofol around July-August 2019, and received a fine of 1 million won earlier this year. Gain reportedly stated in a police investigation that he "thought it was for therapeutic purposes."
"Gain has been suffering from severe pain, depression and severe sleep disorders for a long time due to the accumulation of large and small injuries that have been in the process, and he has made an unpredictable choice in the process," the agency said. The agency said Ha Jung-woo has been treated for dermatology due to facial acne scars and sleep anesthesia has been performed more than necessary during the procedure. "I am an actor who has been loved by more strict self-management, but I reflect on the unfortunate judgment that I did not think was wrong because I received actual treatment."
