sm Entertainment, a subsidiary company, said on March 3, "Kai is preparing a Solo album and the schedule is not yet decided."
Kai's Solo album release was the first since EXO debut in 2012, and it was the fifth runner in the team after Chen, Baekhyun, Suho and Ray.
