The Samsung Lions overpowered the lg Twins thanks to a strong performance by 'Young Gun' Won Tae-in.
The Samsung Lions won 2-0 at the 2020 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League lg and Kyonggi at 6:30 pm at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 2nd. That gave the Samsung Lions 11-14 losses in the season; lg had 16-7 losses.
The Samsung Lions' Cole Hamels Won Tae-in scored seven innings, five hits and three strikeouts, and earned his third win of the season. In the batting line, Tyler Saladino had two hits and two RBIs, and Kim Sang-su had three hits.
lg starter Lee Min-ho played his part with two runs in seven innings, five hits, seven strikeouts, two walks, but he was unable to get help from the batters.
lg was the first to take the lead, and Kim Sang-su, the leading hitter, hit the first and second bases with Park Chan-do's walks.
Both teams then played a tight pitching game.
Lee Min-ho made a three-legged inning in the third inning, and Won Tae-in also blocked the lg line with four triples.
lg did not give up additional runs by starting Song Eun-beom (one innings without a run) and Yeo Geon-uk (one innings without a run) in succession following Lee Min-ho.
The Samsung Lions stopped lg's pursuit with Choi Ji-kwang (one innings without a run) and Woo Kyu-min (one innings without a run).
Kyonggi finished with a victory for the Samsung Lions.
