On the afternoon of the 3rd, the opening ceremony of the 24th Busan International Film festival was held at the outdoor stage of the Busan Haeundae-gu Film Hall. Until the day before the opening ceremony, the Busan area was canceled due to the typhoon, but on the festival day, the clear weather welcomed the filmmakers.
As it is a meaningful year of the 100th anniversary of Korean movies this year, many stars visited Busan. The Red Carpet event, which preceded the opening ceremony, featured filmmakers from home and abroad, and decorated the Red Carpet more than ever.
Actor Jung Woo-sung and Lee Ha-nui, who hosted the opening ceremony, boasted of a good-looking woman in a black tuxedo and a White Dress, respectively. Jung Woo-sung showed 'good looks' by matching a bow tie in a black suit, and Lee Ha-nui boasted a goddess beauty with an off-shoulder White Dress with one shoulder. Many moviegoers cheered for the appearance of the two.
The 24th BIFF will be held from March 3 to 12 at 37 screens in six theaters including Busan Film Hall, Lotte Cinema Center City, CGVCentum City, Megabox Haeundae (Jangsan), and 303 works invited from 85 countries will be introduced. The opening film was selected by Nurmukhambetov, director Lisa Takeba's Horse Thieves. The Way of Time, and director Lim Dae-hyung's Yoon Hee for the closing film.
