Kim Ye-lim returns to Lim Kim
Singer Lim Kim (LIM KIM) will release his first EP, Generre-Asian (GENERASIAN) at 6 p.m. on October 15.
After a long gap, Lim Kim released his single SAL-KI in May, which shocked the public with its old and 180-degree changes and new music, which was known to the public as Kim Ye-lim of the mixed duo two months.
He then went on to fund a crowdfunding for album production through Tumblebuck, which he successfully raised more than 90 million won from nearly 2,000 sponsors and released this EP.
Lim Kim wrote and composed the entire song as well as directing the album with producer No Identity. The EP, which includes six double title songs, Yellow and Mong, contains the themes of Oriental and Women. With intense message, it is expected to capture the eyes and ears of music fans with a new attempt that is rare in existing K-pop.
The title song 'Yellow' means Hwang In-jong, which conveys the message of identity as an Asian woman in an intense sound. Music Video also tried to visualize the musical message with the new appearance of Lim Kim. Yellow Music Video, which was filmed in Shanghai, China for two days, was caught by a Taiwanese-American female director, Christine Yuan, who has been working with 88 Rising. Music Video of Yellow and another title song Mong were also produced as crowdfunding funds.
Prior to the release of the EP, Lim Kim conducted a private sound concert at Hongdae for crowdfunding sponsors on September 6. He also actively communicates with fans by releasing album covers through his social media channels.
Meanwhile, Lim Kim will imprint the identity as a musician who has been redefined for the past three years through this EP. He will participate in the One Day Arts Festival held at the Namsan Picnic (PIKNIC) in Seoul on November 9, and will perform live performances with artists such as Say Sue Me and O3ohn
