Woo Do-hwan spoke about his role as a villain at the premiere of the movie Lion (director Kim Joo-hwan) at the entrance of Lotte Cinema Counter in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul on the 22nd and his feelings of receiving special makeup.
The movie Lion is a film in which martial arts champion Yonghu (Park Seo-joon) meets with the old priest Anshinbu (Ahn Sung-ki) and confronts the powerful evil that has confused the world. Director Kim Joo-hwan of the 2017 film Youth Police, and Ahn Sung-ki, Park Seo-joon and Woo Do-hwan, raised expectations.
Woo Do-hwan, who showed his unique performance through Drama 'Mad Dog' and 'Save me', plays the role of a black bishop who spreads evil in 'Lion' and adds tense tension.
"If the villain was not burdened, it's a lie; but I was really grateful for taking on such a good role, I really did have a lot of will to my senior," Woo Do-hwan said.
Woo Do-hwan endured a special makeup for seven hours for the role, which he said was "in-eye and in-mouth, and the part that was stripped off by the action" with CG.
"Park Seo-joon's bullshit was treated as CG, so it was the most difficult to think about the degree and the intensity and to act."
Kim Joo-hwan said, "Woo Do-hwan scratched the right area and burned it for 30 ~ 40 minutes, then expressed the effect and put CG on it." "Woo Do-hwan would have been very difficult."
