Actor Song Hye-kyo sued the malicious comments and rumors spread after the news of the divorce with Song Joong-ki was announced.
According to the police, Song Hye-kyo filed a complaint with a number of distributors on charges of defamation and insult due to timely false facts at the Bundang Police Station.
Song Hye-kyo's agency said, "We have sued the distributors who have completed the collection of evidence for clear false facts and malicious slander and profanity."
"We will proceed with criminal charges as soon as evidence is obtained for the rest of the community, comments, and YouTubers," he added. "We will respond hard without any prestige or agreement."
The agency said, "We will continue to respond to the act of misusing anonymity and mass-producing and spreading rumors indiscriminately, and we hope that the act of hurting and suffering people will be refrained from writing."
Song Hye-kyo and Song Joong-ki have been suffering from various malicious comments and rumors since the fact that they have been divorced in a year and eight months after marriage.
