The top 10 most tweeted figures in Korea this year were all k-pop singers.
On the 5th, Twitter Inc. Korea released the most tweeted characters in Korea this year through official Twitter Inc.
k-pop artists all took the top 10 and showed off their extraordinary influence. Exo, Gods Seven, Wanna One and EnCity took the top five, starting with BTS. Seventeen was ranked 6th, Monster X was 7th, Vicks was 9th, and New East was 10th.
k-pop influence was also prominent in the keywords of entertainment. Music broadcaster KBS 'Music Bank', Mnet 'M Countdown' and MBC 'Show! Music Center' ranked 2,3, 8th in each category, and the awards ceremony 'MAMA' ranked 9th.
Also this year's most retweeted 2018 Golden Tweet was a video covering Park Won's "all of my life" posted by Jungkook of BTS in February. As of May 5, the tweet has reached 620,000 retweets and 1.23 million.
