Kim Nam-gil Han Ji-min Opening Ceremony Coming to the 10-day Voyage
The 23rd Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), Asia's largest Film Festival, opened at the Busan Haeundae-gu Film Hall on the afternoon of the 4th and began its 10-day voyage.
At the opening ceremony held by actor Kim Nam-gil and Han Ji-min, Lee Yong-kwan, chairman of the Busan International Film Festival, Jeon Yang-joon, executive chairman, and filmmaker representative jointly announced the opening ceremony.
This year's Film Festival will wash away the conflicts that have been caused by the screening of the 'The Truth Shall Not Sink with Sewol' in 2014, declare the first year of the normalization of the Film Festival, and at the same time pledge a new leap forward.

Oh said, "I hope that this tournament will be the first year of the normalization of the Film Festival and become a new leap forward by washing the distrust of the 'The Truth Shall Not Sink with Sewol' screening."
This year's Film Festival featured 323 films from 79 countries, including the opening film "Beautiful Days" (directed by Beautiful Days and Yoon Jae-ho). The world's first screened world premiere is 115 (85 feature films, 30 short films), and the first international premiere, in addition to its own, is 25 (24 feature films, 1 short).
