A 20-year-old man who intercepted 13 million won by cheating singer BTS' Concert ticket on a used trading site was caught by the police.
Seoul Hyehwa Police Station announced on the 18th that it arrested Lee (21) and sent him to the prosecution for not paying the product after receiving money for the sale of Concert ticket.
According to the police, Lee received 110,000 ~ 150,000 won per piece in the way of posting the BTS Concert ticket held on August 25 ~ 26 at Junggonara and Twitter Inc. Lee has tricked Victims as he has after capturing BTS Concert pickets purchased by someone else on the internet.
Police found that Lee had no intention of trading pickets from the beginning. Lee received 8.35 million won for 28 people who said they would buy BTS Concert ticket. Among them were Victims, who spent 1.7 million won to purchase a large number of tickets. The price of this Concert ticket was 99,000 won and 110,000 won depending on the seating grade.
As well as BTS, Exo (6 cases) and Warner One (1 cases)'s Concert ticket were also subject to sale. Lee has made them a major crime target considering that there are many fans who are actively engaged in used transactions after failing to book tickets.
Lee also did not choose the type of goods, such as committing a crime against Victims, who was trying to buy shoes and mobile phones on a used trading site in the same way. Lee, who committed the crime against 40 people from May 23 to September 11 this year, earned 13.27 million won.
Police found that Lee had been fraudulent when he changed his Twitter Inc. ID more than 20 times when his identity was discovered by some Victims. Lee continued to commit the crime while police, who received the complaints of the Victims, investigated Lee twice while he was not detained. Lee is known to have a similar criminal record.
To avoid police tracking, Lee also received money from his parents and friends by Lee Yong. Lee persuaded them to "take the money instead and deliver it to me because there is a place to receive the money." Lee admitted all charges in the police investigation.
A police official said, "When trading used goods on the Internet, you should be careful to check the status of the seller and to make safe transactions."
