Ha Tae-keung apologises "political purpose Lee Yong-no" for mentioning BTS military service exemption
Ha Tae-keung Park Joo-sun Chief committee has apologised for referring to the group BTS, urging improvements to the special military service system.
Ha Tae-keung Chief committee said on September 3 on the official Facebook page, "Why can not the first pop music world like BTS get exemption from military service?" While classical music majors and others are receiving special cases related to arts and sports personnel, they have questioned the current military service exemption system, which does not have such benefits for those who play popular music.
BTS fans and netizens have criticized "BTS members and fans have never complained about the current military service exemption system", "Do not let BTS Lee Yong for political purposes" and "Do not make members who have already been tested for physical examination" .
When the controversy came, Ha Tae-keung Chief committee said at the Park Joo-sun Chief committee on May 5, "I am sorry that BTS has entered the center of political debate by referring to BTS," he said. "It is never true that BTS fans in some media have demanded (BTS's) military exemption."
"My intention is not to Lee Yong for political purposes, but to pinpoint the unfairness of the special system," he said. "If BTS is guilty, his skills are too good. I'll be all accused - throw a stone at Ha Tae-keung," he said.
Among them, the music industry is also making related moves. Some senior officials of the music industry are reported to have held related meetings on August 29. According to multiple music officials on the 5th, the meeting said that it is necessary to improve the new standards such as the opinion that the male idol singers who are in their mid to late 20s should be delayed in their early 20s, and the introduction of a special military service system for popular culture artists.
The agencies also discussed ways to hold additional meetings on September 6, but the meeting was reportedly canceled.
