group BTS has become the first Korean United States of America Billboards chart to be named as a Grammy Awards candidate for the Dream Stage.
BTS topped the main album chart "Billboards 200" on Thursday with its third full-length album, "Love Yourself Former Tier" (LOVE YOURSELF Tear). It is only 12 years since I came to the top in a language other than English.
It is noteworthy that BTS will take such a momentum to advance to the Grammy Awards, the world's most prestigious awards ceremony. Already, they have stepped on the American Airlines Music Awards and Billboards Music Awards. The Grammy Awards is the only one left of the United States of America's three biggest Music awards.
BTS presented 'DNA' at the American Airlines Music Awards last year. This year, the Billboards Music Awards received the Top Social Artist Award and performed Fake Love.
“If this momentum continues without breaking, it is possible to be nominated for the Grammy Awards,” said Kim Sung-dae, a popular critic. “We could be nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album,” he said.
“There is also a possibility of a candidate for a new person award given to a new-class Musician who has been the most prominent in a year,” Kim said.
“The key is how open a conservative panel of judges will evaluate BTS,” he said.
It is noteworthy whether BTS will be able to advance to the Grammy Awards for the first time in the K-pop group.
