Super Junior Choi Choi Siwon, First UNICEF East Asia Pacific Ocean Local Goodwill Ambassador

Super Junior Choi Choi Siwon, 32, has been appointed as a goodwill ambassador for the UNICEF East AsiaPacific Ocean region.UNICEF announced on the 12th that Choi Choi Siwons appointment of a goodwill ambassador to the UNICEFEast AsiaPacific Ocean region was held at the Laos Generation 2030 forum co-hosted by the Laos government and UNICEFLaos office to mark the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.It is the first time that Koreans have become goodwill ambassadors representing the UNICEF East AsiaPacific Ocean region.Choi Siwon has contributed a lot to the campaign to prevent child and youth violence in the East AsiaPacific Ocean region, said Karin Hulshoff, director of the UNICEF East AsiaPacific Ocean Regional Office.In particular, he visited Vietnam last month to participate in the Stop Violence Campaign, raising interest in violence inside and outside the school, and leading to the participation of various members to solve problems. Choi Choi Siwon has contributed to the various fund-raising and child rights advocacy of Asian countries as well as Korea after being appointed UNICEF Special Representative in November 2015.After the appointment ceremony, Choi Siwon visited Nongnio Elementary School in Vientiane and participated in the handwashing campaign and met radio youth hosts from the state broadcasting station.Choi Choi Siwon will participate in the rights promotion and protection activities of Asian children along with another goodwill ambassador, Hong Kong actor Agnes Chan.
